Subject: Meet the Intern 24/7 team, Rosie

What a nice surprise this is huh? A brand new writer to feed you with words of wisdom and sarcastic chat? How lucky are you. We are thrilled to have Rosie Fieldhouse join us and can't wait for her to spam the site with helpful/useful stuff.

So, time for you to get to know her.

If you had Monday’s off for the rest of you life?

I would begin the day with mediation and followed by yoga, then I would make a strong cup of coffee and write (for the Intern 24/7 of course ;). I would then cook my favourite spaghetti dish for my friends (and crack open a bottle of good red wine).

Where do you see yourself in 10 years time?

Working as a magazine editor, exploring new places and living on the coast (hopefully I will have finally learnt to surf by this time), with a cute dog by my side.

One piece of advice to someone who wants to follow in your career footsteps?

Get as much knowledge about the industry as possible. Read all the books, listen to all the podcasts, take all the essential courses. When you finally get your dream interview/internship, you will be prepared. If you want to work for a magazine, email editors with examples of your writing and see if they can fit you in for any work placements. It doesn’t matter if it is one-day or one-month, the experience will be essential. Plus you will make some great contacts.

What advice would you give to someone who has no clue what they want to do?

Go to your favourite place where you can really sit peacefully and take out your notebook and pen and start writing down what your interests are and what you would do if you only had one-year to live (morbid I know). It does not matter how crazy that dream might be. If you want it enough, you will 100% get there eventually. You may just need to get a few side hustles to fund this journey. But trust me, you will be far more fulfilled than if you are doing something that you think that you should be doing.

One fun fact about you?

I can pretty much do any accent also, I was once mistaken for Russell Brand’s new mystery woman following his split from Katy Perry across all the papers.

Where can people find you?

In the kitchen cooking pasta, drinking wine and listening to slightly offensive rap music.
