Subject: Meet the intern who wants to work/live in every city.

Name: Katherine Mckenzie

Age: 22 years old

Location: Paris

Current occupation: Third-year student of Fashion Business, graduating this July.

Have you ever interned? If so, where?

I’ve never properly interned in a company, however, I have completed a few internships such as assisting in fashion shows and backstages, photoshoots, participating in projects. I was part of the first event managed by students in my university and an LVMH contest who foresees the new luxury experience of tomorrow.

One thing you wish you knew before starting out in the industry:

Working in fashion is time-consuming, many hours of hard work, quite messy, although in the end, it is worth it if you have the passion.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?:

Finishing my masters, having a stable job in the industry, conserve a prosper relationship with family and friends, keep myself balance and happy.

One piece of advice to someone who wants to follow in your footsteps:

Research, research, and research, information and knowledge are elementary, it is important to be aware of what's surrounding you. Of course, it can be a hustle to keep updated 24/7 with different industries, events, news, trends, but all of this knowledge is key to find what you are truly into.

What advice would you give to someone who has no clue what they want to do?

Talk with as many people you can in the industry, search online, try several areas and never give up (seriously); might sound cliche but, one thing is to have mindful moments where you can find inspirations and ideas, and the other is just to never totally give up something that is worth it because of our fears, insecurities, and difficulties.

One fun fact about you?

I can adapt easily to any city, most of the cities I’ve traveled are subject of interest for future homes, I really consider myself a nomad (such a millennial comment haha) but is true, I adore to finding new destinations, meet new people and fall in love with new cities, I’ve learned a lot by leaving abroad and moving since a young age from my parents home. Would love to be able to live in all the cities I’ve visited, at least for a few years at a time.

Where can people stalk you?
