Subject: Your November work wardrobe

WINTER IS COMING and autumn is here.

I have no money, yet all I do is shop so, here’s a few of my intern wardrobe favourites to get us all through October looking reasonably good.

A cotton, full sleeve, polo neck. A white one. I would say treat yourself to the ASOS two pack and grab a black one too but it’s out of stock (soz). I buy a new white polo neck every few months because I am incapable of not spilling things down myself but hopefully yours lasts a bit longer. Perfect to dress down a pair of trousers.

Sock boots

A sock with a heel, is up there with one of the best inventions of the 21st century and most definitely ticks the box of the day to night shoe. Mine are Stradivarius and you can get them by clicking the image.

Ankle grazers

Let your ankles be free for the last time before their 5-month hibernation period. I’m thoroughly enjoying a straight cut jean at the moment and if you’re on a budget (#always) - Primark have a great selection. My flat mate just bought the same pair in three colour ways and we are not judging!!

Not a fan of the above? Don’t worry you don’t have to be… here are some other options.

Zara option 1

Zara option 2

A tailored jumpsuit.

I recently rediscovered a black evening jumpsuit that I got as a sample from my first internship at Uttam London (cheers) and now it’s my go to over a polo neck with trainers. I’ve listed a few here which are as easy to wear.

A pleated midi skirt.

I act like a 63 year old 50% of the time so I may as well dress like one, and I do. Wear a pleated skirt with a chunky knit jumper and Stan Smith esque trainers to really nail grandma chic.

The printed midi dress.

And Other Stories win the award for this category, but Topshop are also in the running with a few more affordable options. One of these in your wardrobe will carry you through winter with a pair of black tights and western boots too.

An oversized blazer.

This paired with almost anything makes you feel a minimum of 10% more powerful. Pair with a white t-shirt, blue over-sized jeans and trainers to channel your inner Alexa Chung.

Another essential is a pair of small gold hoops. The bigger the hoop etc ;) so opt for a smaller sphere for your intern wardrobe.

Oh, and one last thing but most definitely not least, a low bun. Ever since the heatwave I’ve embraced the low bun and have not looked back. It’s probable your head will not look as perfectly proportioned as Olivia Palermo but it really is perfect for when you cannot be bothered to wash your hair (87% of the time).

Happy shopping and avoiding washing your hair,

Kind regards,
